Weather Channel Founder Blasts Gore over Global Warming

The founder of The Weather Channel is calling out my favorite Gasbag, Former Vice President, Al Gore!

In his blog he makes this statement on the issue  known as Global Warming,

“I am totally convinced there is no scientific basis for any of it.Global Warming. It is the hoax. It is bad science. It is a high jacking of public policy. It is no joke. It is the greatest scam in history.

Here is John  Coleman (founder of Weather Channel) on Red Eye talking about global warming and the civil suit he is bringing against Gore for fraud and junk science.

Al Gore says the science is settled. Now let’s see if the lawsuit is settled.

John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel, has put together a coalition of more than 30,000 scientists who don’t buying Gore’s global warming baloney.

Gore won’t debate the issue because he says “the science is settled.” So Coleman thinks his courtroom ploy may give him a chance to expose Gore’s folly.

“We have tried and tried and tried to get a debate on global warming with…Al Gore and any of the scientists behind him over at the UN IPCC,” Coleman said. “We’d love to have a debate with them, but they go ‘Oh, no, the debate is over.’ Well, now there are 30,000 of us. We have 30,000 scientists – 9000 Phds – who have signed up to debunk global warming. And they still won’t listen to us…So we figure maybe a court of law.”

Businesses Are Not Leaving Cali? – More Liberal Spin

 One of the most frustrating things for me as a citizen journalist is the confrontation, (daily), of eggheads and so-called experts that defy common sense. Nothing in the intelligentsia is off-bounds, no motive, no premise, no absurdity. Do you know what I mean?

Today I wandered over to Yahoo Finance to check on the market and investments, wow I thought, stocks are showing a little resilience here, hmm…..scanning news, headlines, companies, I see a headline –

Budget Crisis “Embarrassing,” But Businesses Aren’t Fleeing California, Economist Says

Really. He really thinks this, this Mr Stephen Levy of the Center for the Continuing Study of the California Economy. I scan the website, finding ambiguous reports and studies, etc. I do find that some liberal groups have given financial support to the group CCSCE. Follow the money. Any and every massive fallacious absurdity and misconception has a long money trail associated.

Knowing the opposite to be true, that businesses and individuals are fleeing the once-Golden State, I pull up mountains of empirical data. I am not an egghead, I don’t have an axe to grind, a Public Policy propaganda arm to push. Exhibit a. -residents are leaving in droves here.

American Thinker here. Several states are pushing programs to entice CA emigrants. Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Utah. California or Bust, Californian and Busted. Pointy-headed useful-idiot egghead busted.

California state government largess creating a meltdown of unforeseen proportions. State issuing IOUs to workers, people on programs, contractors, state workers, folks doing business with the state, etc in lieu of cash here, here, here. Sounds great for business! Empirical data again, egghead busted again.

Hmm, it seems that some of the big banks are leery of accepting California IOU’s here. Common sense comes into play again, bankers have no faith in the state. Why then would businesses and individuals? I don’t need a pointy-headed academic to tell me otherwise. Common sense, living within one’s means, Main Street to State Street, cause and effect cannot be escaped. Egghead nay.

State serf-rulers, pols and media blame our woes on low taxes here. Yes, you read that right, low taxes. A simple defiance of reality even in our age of stupidity. They deserve this place. Read this here from a State Assemblywoman. She deserves this state. She deserves Cuba, Castro, Chavez, Venezuela.

california_iou_license_plate_lg

State coffers are still bleeding after rearranging the chairs on the decks of the Titanic here, tax revenue down some 40% from a year or so ago. A California Condor has been spotted, shrieking, it’s vulturous squawk heard miles away…..we need to cut waste, squawk! squawk!…..Too little, too late Governor California Condor. There is but a corpse of the state for you and Sacramento vultures to nibble on. Where does the state get revenue? Yet another egghead is heard saying ‘everything is just fine and dandy’! Where can I find this mystical, mythical business that we can squeeze tax dollars from?

…….*crickets chirping in abandoned warehouses*…….

Businesses, production and producers provide tax revenue. Yet they aren’t leaving the state? Eggheads pecking at the corpse of a once prosperous state.

 How does a state that is so desperately in the hole find new ways to raise taxes, find revenue as the pols say in Taxamento? We should tap into the bounty of nature, tax a certain oddly shaped, uniquely-smelling plant, (when smoked). Yes, the hair of the dog, ganja, pot, weed, dope. And what a case of dope indeed, pols, bureaucrats, media-types are calling for the legalization of marijuana in the state to cure our fiscal woes, here and here.

America I am your clarion call of emergency and warning. I am calling on the danger that you are amidst. I am pleading for you to listen. I am asking you to rise up against this Obamanation and the equivalents on all Federal levels.

They are pushing the disaster that is California, on you America, on the road to serfdom.

Serfdom

Left Coast Rebel (http://www.leftcoastrebel.com/2009/07/businesses-arent-fleeing-ca.html) saying what I have been ranting about for weeks now. California is headed down the path of no return and yet still people are saying everything is ok. Research what happened to California and you will see that is the exact path the United States as a whole is being pushed down by the obamanation in office.

UPDATE: Here is a great comment left on the orignial article on Left Coast Rebel…

The sad part about California, for me (as a current resident), is that I’m virtually certain that I will leave California in the next few years in search of a place less destructive to my way of life. By that, I mean a place which doesn’t actively discourage business and productions, doesn’t tax its workers obscenely, and doesn’t have a budgetary disaster caused by ridiculous of-of-control spending and Obamanation-style liberal politics. The sad part is not that I’m leaving (statistically I will be replaced by 2+ other people, likely here illegally, so the state won’t miss me), but rather that I have no hope in affecting any change whatsoever in the state’s situation, and thus that has no consideration.

Waxman and the Democrats try to Stop Boehner (R) from Reading the Cap n Trade Amendment

This is fucking incredible. The Demorats snuck in a 300 page amendment to the Cap n Trade Climate Change Bill at 3:10 in the morning. Rep. Boehner (R-OH) uses his authority as the House Minority Leader to stand up and start reading from the bill.

So someone please tell me why Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) is trying to get him to shut up? Why is he trying to stop Boehner form reading the amendment in front of Congress and the nation (through CSPAN). WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?

These are the games your ‘Democrat”ic Congress is playing America. Do you like it?

Demorats Accuse CIA of Lying; or Why Democrats Should not be on the Intelligence Committee

A few weeks ago the Democrats sent a letter to the director of the CIA, Leon E. Panetta, accusing him of admitting that the CIA had lied to Congress during the Bush years:

June 26, 2009

The Honorable Leon E. Panetta, Director
Central Intelligence Agency
Washington, D.C. 20505

Dear Director Panetta,

You recall, no doubt, that on May 15, 2009, you stated the following in a letter to CIA employees:

“Let me be clear: It is not our policy or practice to mislead Congress. That is against our laws and values.”

Recently you testified that you have determined that top CIA officials have concealed significant actions from all Members of Congress, and misled Members for a number of years from 2001 to this week. This is similar to other deceptions of which we are aware from other recent periods.

In light of your testimony, we ask that you publicly correct your statement of May 15, 2009.

Sincerely,

/s/

Anna G. Eshoo
Rush D. Holt
Alcee L. Hastings
John F. Tierny
Mike Thompson
Janice D. Schakowsky
Adam Smith

Panetta denies this:

CIA spokesman George Little told the Washington Independent late Wednesday that the claim that Panetta admitted his agency has misled Congress is “completely wrong.” He added, “Director Panetta stands by his May 15 statement.”

But the funny thing in all this, and as Dafydd ab Hugh notes at Hot Air, the timing of the release of the letter smacks of an attempt to get the CIA to open its books to the whole of Congress:

[Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ, 100%), one of the seven signers] said that the release of the letter [from the seven] was timed to coincide today with the start of debate on an intelligence reauthorization bill. Among those issues up for debate is whether the number of lawmakers briefed on the CIA’s actions should be expanded.

The Republicans AND Obama both disagree with the move:

House Republicans oppose at least one provision in the intelligence authorization bill, and they have an unusual ally: the White House.

Obama’s aides have said they will recommend he veto the bill if it includes a Democratic-written provision requiring the president to notify the intelligence committees in their entirety about covert CIA activities.

And for good reason:

…the White House is concerned that briefing more lawmakers might compromise the most sensitive U.S. intelligence operations.

Might?

There is no might there. It WOULD compromise our intelligence and Dafydd gives us some examples:

When Sen. John “Jay” Rockefeller (D-WV, 94%) was the chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (he is still a member but no longer chairman), he was one of the leaders in abusing his intelligence access to perpetuate the “Bush lied, people died” meme; he repeatedly stated that no prewar intelligence supported the idea that Saddam Hussein had ongoing chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons programs — even though he himself had earlier stated the exact opposite, and despite a wealth of intelligence indicating exactly that, published in the committee’s own report on pre-war intelligence during Rockefeller tenure.

~~~
Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA, 100%), Russell Feingold (D-WI, 100%), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI, 90%), all current members of the Senate Intelligence Committee — Feinstein is the chairman — wrote a letter in July, 2007, demanding a “special prosecutor” be appointed to investigate then-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales for perjury… because of a trivial difference between Gonzales’ testimony and that of then-FBI Director Robert Mueller over the exact subject of a hospital-room discussion between Gonzales and former Attorney General John Ashcroft three years earlier.
Mueller, who was not present during the conversation itself, gained the impression afterwards that the discussion had been about the Terrorist Surveillance Program (TSP); but Gonzales testified to Congress three years later that it was about a different but similar surveillance program. And for that, four Democratic senators wanted to send Gonzales to federal prison — the three mentioned above, plus Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY, 100%).
To complete the humiliation, the very next day — July 29th, 2007 — the New York Times published a story revealing that the subject was not, in fact, the TSP… it was the “data mining” surveillance program. So Gonzales had been telling the truth all along, and it was Mueller who misunderstood which program was under discussion.
~~~

Turning to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the current chairman, Rep. Silvestre Reyes (D-CA, 82%), flunked an intelligence quiz just a month before he was slated to assume that position; the quiz included such tricky, unfair questions as whether al Qaeda is Sunni or Shiite. (Reyes’ answer: “They are probably both,” followed by “Predominantly — probably Shiite.”)

~~~
The next ranking Democrat on the committee is Rep. Alcee L. Hastings (FL, 100%)… a former federal judge who was impeached and removed from office for accepting a $150,000 bribe, then perjuring himself when caught.
No one in congress should not be allowed on the Intelligence Committees with behavior like that. Exposing American secrets to try and win political points is disgusting. Go figure they are all Demoscrats.
Trust on Issues
Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy. They’ve also narrowed the gap on the remaining two issues, the traditionally Democratic strong suits of health care and education.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that voters trust the GOP more on economic issues 46% to 41%, showing little change from the six-point lead the party held last month. This is just the second time in over two years of polling the GOP has held the advantage on economic issues. The parties were close on the issue in May, with the Democrats holding a one-point lead.
Voters not affiliated with either party trust Republicans more to handle the economy by a 46% to 32% margin.
Last week’s report of 9.5 percent unemployment, the highest since 1983, raised doubts about the economy and the president’s handling of it. Consumer and investor confidence is now down to the lowest levels in three months. Just 39% now say President Obama is doing a good or an excellent job on the economy while 43% rate his performance as poor. Those are by far the weakest numbers yet for the president.”
Uh oh….looks like the honeymoon is over for Obama and his Demos. Numbers this bad and you are only, what, 6 months into your presidency?
